Gean Ahner Foundation Donates Funds to Park District
Mission
The Hearts for Parks Foundation was established in 1992 as a non-profit, 501-C3 public benefit corporation to help and improve recreation activities and park facilities associated with the Sunrise Recreation and Park District. The Foundation’s change is to implement new and innovative projects that otherwise would not have been considered using public funds.
Hearts for Parks is a nonprofit organization working to benefit and improve recreation activities, special programs, and park facilities associated with the Sunrise Recreation and Park District. Emphasis is placed on children unable to afford full program fees and on programs needing supplemental funding.
