Sunrise Recreation and Park District Announces New Executive Director
Sunrise Recreation and Park District is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Huntzinger as the new District Administrator, effective September 25, 2023. This appointment comes after an extensive search and selection process to find the ideal candidate to lead the district and continue its mission of providing exceptional recreational and park services to the community.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to our team,” said David Huber, Advisory Board Chair for Sunrise Recreation and Park District. “His expertise and passion for community engagement align perfectly with our mission to enhance our community’s quality of life through quality parks and programs.” In his new role as District Administrator, Kevin oversees all Sunrise Recreation and Park District operations including parks, recreational facilities, and community programs. He will work closely with the district’s Board of Directors, staff, and community stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality recreational programs and services to the community.
Kevin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in the field of recreational management. Previous serving as Parks and Recreation Director with the City of Rocklin, Kevin is well prepared to guide the district to new heights and enhance recreational opportunities available to our residents. Kevin expressed great excitement about his new role: "I am honored to join the Sunrise Recreation and Park District team and service the community. I look forward to collaborating with dedicated staff and partners to ensure our parks and programs continue to be vibrant, inclusive spaces that enhance the well-being of our community.”
