Pool Chemicals at Rusch Community Park Pool and Antelope Community Park Pool RFP Bid Packet 

INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS

The Sunrise Recreation and Park District (SRPD) is seeking an experienced professional contractor to provide services for the supply of pool chemicals and limited services for both sites referenced above. 

Parties interested in this project are asked to submit one (1) copy of the proposal no later than 11:00am on August 30, 2024, to:

SRPD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any technicalities, informalities, and irregularities, to accept or reject all or any part of the proposal, and to be the sole judge of suitability on the proposal offer.


PROJECT BACKGROUND

This project consists generally of supplying pool chemicals and limited services to the aquatic’s complexes located at Rusch Community Park and Antelope Community Park. 


SCOPE OF WORK

Sunrise Recreation and Park District is soliciting proposals for the purchase and delivery of the product described below at Rusch Community Park Pool and Antelope Community Park Pool. A contract will be awarded for a thirty-six (36) month period. 
Please reference the bid sheet (Page 6) for a list of chemicals that SRPD is requesting bids for. Delivery of pool chemicals must be made to each facility. Business hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The DISTRICT will provide the Contractor with a schedule of delivery dates for both sites listed above for the peak season. Deliveries during the off-peak season will be on an as needed basis. 

Description of Facilities and Equipment:

The Sunrise Recreation and Park District has two aquatics complexes located at Antelope Community Park (7990 Palmerson Drive, Antelope, CA 95843) and at Rusch Community Park (7801 Auburn Blvd, Citrus Heights, Ca 95610). 
The equipment at the Antelope Community Park Pool includes: 

  • 1 500-gallon tank for Liquid Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%)

                  1 ½ inch male Camlock Hose Fitting 

  • 1 685-gallon tank for Liquid Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%)

                  1 ½ inch male Camlock Hose Fitting 

  • 1 300-gallon tank for Muriatic Acid (15%)

                  1 inch male Camlock Hose Fitting 

The equipment at the Rusch Community Park Pool includes: 

  • 2 500-gallon tanks for Liquid Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%)

                 1 ½ inch male Camlock Hose Fitting 

  • 2 160-gallon tanks for Muriatic Acid (15%)

                 1 inch male Camlock Hose Fitting 

The pools are owned and managed by Sunrise Recreation and Park District, a special district of Sacramento County. 

EXISTING CONDITIONS
The vendor, in undertaking the work under this contract, is to have visited the premises and to have taken into consideration all conditions which might affect the work. No consideration will be given to any claims based on lack of knowledge of existing conditions.

DEVIATIONS
Any deviations from the scope of work indicated herein must be submitted in writing to the project manager prior to the bid due date.


CHANGE ORDERS
Change orders will not be considered once the proposed bid has been accepted.


VALID CALIFORNIA CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE

Required at time of bid submission and valid through the length of the project.


PREVAILING WAGE

Pursuant to the California Labor Code Section 1720 and following this is a prevailing wage project.


DIR REGISTRATION

All contractors and subcontractors must register with the DIR and meet DIR requirements before bidding on public works contracts in California.


SUBMITTALS 

The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the Sunrise Recreation and Park District, for the POOL CHEMICALS AT RUSCH COMMUNITY PARK POOL AND ANTELOPE COMMUNITY PARK POOL. Each bond shall not be less than one hundred percent (100%) of that portion of the contract price. 

Pursuant to California Contract Code Section 22300, the contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by the County to ensure performance under this contract.

Deadline for questions is 11:00am on Friday, August 9, 2024.


Addendums and answers to all questions will be posted on the District Website by 5:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024. It is the Contractor's responsibility to check the District Website (www.sunriseparks.com) for updates.


The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in the judgment of the Board, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder.
